　　The term clone may not be unfamiliar to many people.It refers to the non�瞫exual reproduction of a single plant or animal from any one cell,and with exactly the same form as the parent.

　　With the arrival of market economy,taking up second professions or “moonlighting” has become a new trend in all walks of life.Now more and more people are taking part�瞭ime jobs,which in turn is drawing more and more attention from both the experts and the rank and file.

　　Many people feel positive about the increasing number of people pursuing second professions.They say this is a natural outgrowth of the changing economic system.By taking up a second job,many people can bring all their energy and time into play.And it can also help them increase their income without losing the benefits of the “iron�瞓owl”.

　　However,some people think that this development also creates some problems.For example,if a teacher go “moonlighting”,he may spend less time preparing his lessons and correcting his students�� assignment and thus his teaching quality may suffer.After all,a teacher�餾 duty is teaching,and it involves his whole�瞙earted devotion.What a teacher cares about should be the students�� development,instead of his pocket.

　　Personally,I think taking up a second profession can quicken the pace of economic development,enrich the person�餾 experience and increase his income.But at the same time,it is not advisable to show too much interest in it and put the horse before the cart,because our first duty lies in our first profession and we need time and effort to improve our knowledge and skills to do it better.

　　Nowadays there are two different types of college students who take quite opposite attitudes towards campus activities.One group of students are very enthusiastic about doing social activities at school,while the other group take little interest in them and spend most of their time with books.

　　As far as the first group is concerned,they think they go to college not merely for book knowledge.They should also take pains to get armed with practical knowledge which they can�餿 obtain in classrooms,because they�餷l have to establish themselves in society when they graduate.If they confine themselves to classrooms and labs,they�餷l never learn the ability to deal with public relations and solve practical problems in real life.On the other hand,the second group of students think that school activities are very time�瞔onsuming and energy�瞔onsuming.And they should make full use of the four years at college to pursue their academic studies.

　　All things considered,I think it wise to be active in campus activities.School activities can provide us with an opportunity to make friends with people and prepare us for life outside campus.Besides,after long hours at desk,we can have some relaxation or at least some change by participating in some out�瞣f�瞔lass activities,and add variety and excitement to our campus life.Besides,through frequent contact with other students,we can learn a great deal from them.And above all,the modern society requires of young students many qualities apart from academic achievements,energetic and sociable,and “bookworms” can�餿 keep up with the pace of the times any longer.

　　1.If asked for any suggestion,I am of the opinion that we should moderately reduce students�� study load.Besides,as heavy study load is the by�瞤roduct of the existing exam�瞣riented system,we should reform the exam assessment system.Only in this way can we completely solve the problem.

Some people become vegetarians.They say they can get enough nutrition from other sources,like various plants and vegetables.

　　In my opinion,off�瞤osition is the natural child of economical and technological development,which requires people to be professionally competitive.Just as Darwin says,only the fittest can survive,competition can stimulate people to greater efforts,and professional knowledge can help people produce better products,which,in turn,can better people�餾 lives.Thus,off�瞤osition is just a temporary pain for people.After a hard time of retraining and readjustment,they can turn over a new page in life.
In my opinion,both economy and environmental protection are our urgent tasks now.Without economic development,we would remain backward and be conquered by other nations.And without environmental protection,we would lose our chance of survival.Therefore,the best solution is to develop environmental�瞤rotection�瞣riented industries and agriculture so as to kill two birds with one stone.

　　2.It is true that some people are born cleverer,and some with extraordinary gift for art or music.But natural talents need to be cultivated.There are many cases of infant prodigies who turn out to be “good�瞗or�瞡othing”,and some so�瞔alled “stupid students” later become quite successful.Therefore,I�餯 like to conclude that intelligence is something we are born with,but more important,it also gradually grows through education and experience.

　　Some people strongly advocate that we should reduce the students�� study load.They hold that children should not be denied their free time and the golden,cheerful childhood which they deserve.Heavy study load has seriously affected their physical and psychological health.As a result,more and more students are either wearing glasses or suffering from nervous disorder.However,others hesitate about whether to reduce students�� study load and they believe that only hard work can ensure bright future for children.They also believe that only those who study under great pressure can amount to something and stand a chance of entering leading universities.

　　Some people think that off�瞤osition may have negative influence on our lives as well as on society.In their opinion,when dismissed from their company,these jobless people can hardly make ends meet,and many problems will arise in their family.Besides,the pressure can also bring them some mental disorders such as depression and despair,which again will greatly disturb the originally peaceful life of their family.What�餾 more,as more laid�瞣ff workers become poverty�瞫tricken,and the gap between the rich and poor become wider,they may feel hostile towards the whole society,thus giving rise to other social problems.

　　Some people think that the urgent task is to develop economy on a large scale.First,they hold that many people,especially in rural areas,are living in poverty and can�餿 afford the basic schooling for their children,who often have to drop out of school halfway.Second,they believe only by further develop our economy can we strike a balance between the developed east and the developing west and finally we help the rural poor get rid of poverty and gain an overall prosperity.

　　3.However,others fear the great risks and challenges incurred by China�餾 entry into WTO,and therefore,assume a cold attitude.First,they doubt that it will bring crushing pressure on automobile,telecom and many other industries.To make matters worse,they fear that the great pressure will make many small companies,or even the medium�瞫ized ones go bankrupt,leaving millions of people jobless.

　　While others think that this practice is necessary for the development of society and industry.Some workers have to go off their positions because they are not fit for their jobs,which involve more skills and new knowledge.So people have to keep on learning in order to remain competitive and qualified.If they fail to catch up with the changing technology,they will be dismissed and thrown out by society.

　　On the other hand,there are many people who insist that environmental protection should be a top priority.First,they claim that we have only one mother earth.If our ecological environment is heavily polluted or ruined,we could not even survive on this planet.Second,they believe that it�餾 the rapid and advanced development of economy that leads to many of the serious problems we are facing today,including the awful pollution of our environment.If the problem is left unsolved,we may soon have no water fit to drink,no clean air to breathe,let alone develop our economy.
