八、英譯漢中的省略關(guān)系

　　(1)動詞的省略

　　例：How well the predictions will be validated by later performance depends upon the amount,reliability,and appropriateness of the information used and on the skill and wisdom with which it is interpreted.

　　這些預(yù)測在多大程度上為后來的表現(xiàn)所證實，這取決于所采用信息的數(shù)量、可靠性和適宜性，以及解釋這些信息的技能和才智。

　　(2)名詞的省略

　　例：But even more important,it was the farthest that scientists had been able to look into the past,for what they were seeing were the patterns and structures that existed 15 billion years ago.

　　但更為重要的是，這是科學(xué)家們所能觀測到的最遙遠(yuǎn)的過去的景象，因為他們看到的是150億年前宇宙云的形狀和結(jié)構(gòu)。

　　(3)修飾語的省略

　　例：But even more important,it was the farthest that scientists had been able to look into the past,for what they were seeing were the patterns and structures that existed 15 billion years ago.

　　但更為重要的是，這是科學(xué)家們所能觀測到的最遙遠(yuǎn)的過去的景象，因為他們看到的是150億年前宇宙云的形狀和結(jié)構(gòu)。

　　(4)從句引導(dǎo)詞的省略

　　(5)相同結(jié)構(gòu)的省略

　　例：Actually， it isn''t,because it assumes that there is an agreed account of human rights,which is something the world does not have.

　　事實上這種提問并不能把問題講清楚，因為它是以人們對人權(quán)的共同認(rèn)識為假設(shè)的，而這種共同認(rèn)識并不存在。
