　　余先生、各位嘉賓、各位參賽朋友：

　　Mr Yu, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen,

　　大家好!歡迎大家出席今天的“李小龍故居概念設(shè)計(jì)比賽”頒獎(jiǎng)典禮暨展覽開(kāi)幕儀式。

　　Good afternoon.I have great pleasure in welcoming all of you to this prize presentation cum exhibition opening ceremony of the Bruce Lee's Residence Ideas Competition.

　　復(fù)修李小龍先生位于九龍?zhí)恋墓示�，展現(xiàn)李小龍先生生平點(diǎn)滴及畢生的成就，讓愛(ài)戴李小龍的影迷、武術(shù)研習(xí)及愛(ài)好者，以至普羅市民及游客參觀(guān)景仰，一直是大家殷切期待的目標(biāo)�！袄钚↓埞示痈拍钤O(shè)計(jì)比賽”的順利完成，象征我們朝著這個(gè)目標(biāo)邁進(jìn)了一大步。

　　We all look forward to the early restoration of Mr Bruce Lee's former residence in Kowloon Tong to commemorate the life and achievements of Mr Lee so that his fans, Kung Fu lovers, as well as the locals and visitors alike may pay tribute to him. The successful completion of the Bruce Lee's Residence Ideas Competition marks another milestone in our efforts towards this end.

　　世界各地對(duì)概念設(shè)計(jì)比賽反應(yīng)熱烈，令人鼓舞。合資格的參賽作品共超過(guò)一百四十份，其中七十一份來(lái)自本地，十八份來(lái)自?xún)?nèi)地、臺(tái)灣及澳門(mén)，五十六份來(lái)自海外。今天出席的優(yōu)勝者，亦有好幾位是專(zhuān)程由內(nèi)地或海外來(lái)香港領(lǐng)獎(jiǎng)的。各位在參觀(guān)過(guò)展覽后，相信都會(huì)有同感，無(wú)論是公開(kāi)組或?qū)�業(yè)組的作品，水準(zhǔn)之高和洋溢創(chuàng)意，令人驚喜。事實(shí)上，參賽作品真正體現(xiàn)了李小龍先生的武術(shù)哲學(xué)名句: As you think, so shall you become.

　　We are delighted at the overwhelming response to the competition from around the world. A total of over 140 valid entries were received, including 71 from Hong Kong, 18 from the Mainland, Taiwan and Macau, and 56 from overseas. Some of the winners have specially travelled from the Mainland or overseas to Hong Kong to receive their prizes today. I believe that you would agree,after viewing the exhibits, that the entries for both the open and professional groups are truly creative and of a very high standard. They have indeed showcased Mr Lee's renowned philosophy of martial arts: As you think, so shall you become.

　　設(shè)計(jì)比賽得以成功，有賴(lài)大家的支持。首先，我衷心感謝余彭年先生為這次的設(shè)計(jì)比賽出錢(qián)出力。余先生除了是整個(gè)項(xiàng)目的倡議人外，更答允擔(dān)任評(píng)審委員會(huì)的榮譽(yù)主席，并慷慨贊助比賽的獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)和獎(jiǎng)金。

　　I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the various parties who have helped to make the competition a success, notably Mr Yu Pang-lin, who not only initiated the competition, but has also served as the Hononary Chairman of the Adjudication Panel, and sponsored the prizes for the competition.

　　我亦很感激李小龍先生的家人對(duì)設(shè)計(jì)比賽提供的協(xié)助，先有李小龍先生遺孀 Linda 親手繪出當(dāng)年故居室內(nèi)間格的平面圖協(xié)助我們?cè)O(shè)計(jì)復(fù)修的工作，后有李小龍先生的千金 Shannon 專(zhuān)程由美國(guó)到香港，參與設(shè)計(jì)比賽的評(píng)審工作。

　　I am also thankful to Mr Bruce Lee's family for their wholehearted support. Mr Lee's widow, Linda, personally helped prepare a layout plan of the former residence for our reference. His daughter Shannon made a special trip to Hong Kong from the United States to participate in the adjudication work.

　　要籌辦這樣一個(gè)全球性的設(shè)計(jì)比賽，實(shí)在需要很多人力物力。我十分感謝香港建筑師學(xué)會(huì)、香港規(guī)劃師學(xué)會(huì)和香港測(cè)量師學(xué)會(huì)合力籌辦這個(gè)比賽。而比賽的專(zhuān)業(yè)顧問(wèn)以及籌組委員會(huì)、評(píng)審委員會(huì)和技術(shù)委員會(huì)的成員，都是以義務(wù)性質(zhì)誠(chéng)心誠(chéng)意為設(shè)計(jì)比賽工作，我在此再向他們致以萬(wàn)二分謝意。

　　To organise a global competition of such a scale involves considerable resources. I would like to thank the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institute of Planners and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors for their joint efforts in organising the competition. My thanks also go to the Professional Advisor, the Organising Committee, the Jurors and the Technical Committee, who have all worked on a voluntary basis, for their commitment and contribution towards the competition.

　　我深信我們可以透過(guò)這次比賽，集思廣益，以具創(chuàng)意的構(gòu)思和概念，復(fù)修李小龍先生的故居�，F(xiàn)時(shí)，我們正繼續(xù)努力搜集有關(guān)李小龍先生的資料，并透過(guò)不同渠道搜集展品，務(wù)求使將來(lái)開(kāi)放予市民及旅客參觀(guān)的李小龍故居，能真實(shí)地呈現(xiàn)這位已故功夫巨星的一生和他的武術(shù)哲學(xué)。

　　I believe that we can, through this competition,pool together creative ideas and concepts for the restoration of Mr Bruce Lee's former residence. Meanwhile, we would continue to collect information on Mr Bruce Lee and exhibits for the future facility, with a view to enabling the restored residence to capture the life story of one of the greatest legends of our time.
