請柬也稱請?zhí)�，有正式和非正式兩種。非正式請柬就是常說的邀請信或邀請條，多用于親戚朋友之間。正式請柬需要一定的格式書寫，主要用于婚禮、喪禮、宴會、舞會、招待會、展覽會等隆重開閉幕式、大型晚會、慶祝大會及其他正式社交場合。請柬包括稱呼語、正文和結束語三大部分。正式請柬一般用第三人稱。在英美國家，邀請者如同在，應把兩人的名字都列出。
