酒后駕車考研作文1(考試吧名師考研預(yù)測(cè)范文):
酒后駕車
As is vividly depicted in the drawing above, a drunk-driver is scolding a pedestrian who is crossing a street at zebra crossing. What is revealed in the drawing is not uncommon in our routine life and the phenomenon is most thought-provoking to each responsible citizen of our society.
Driving under influence (DUI) is a common practice for many Chinese. In many cities, police checkpoints for DUI are only set up for a month in a year or even two weeks. These occasional crackdown campaigns are like typhoons, they go as fast as they come. In the first half of this year, 222,ooo people on the Chinese mainland were found driving under influence (DUI), up 8.7 percent over the same period last year. Our roads have simply become the most dangerous in the world. With three percent of the total vehicles in the world, the country accounts for 16 percent of the global traffic deaths. Each year, some 100,000 Chinese die in traffic accidents in the country-274 deaths a day. Each year traffic accidents take away more lives in China than other mishap. An all-out war on drink and drunk driving and other forms of rash driving should definitely be a national priority.
Strong measure should be taken to prevent reckless driving, and I would suggest three steps to begin with. First, our laws should be made tougher to show zero tolerance to such murderous driving. Many countries, such as the United Sates, Sweden and Singapore, have stricter punishment for DUI. Second, police offices should enforce the law at all times and in all places, leaving no gaps of which violators can take advantage. Crackdown on DUI is not something that should be carried out of only two months. It should stay as long as there’s dangerous driving on our roads. Third, while laws and punishments are necessary, we should start educating our population about the threat of DUI on other’s lives. While driver should restrain themselves, our drinking culture, which often means endless rounds of bottoms-up, needs to be checked.
酒后駕車考研作文2(考試吧名師考研預(yù)測(cè)范文):
醉酒駕車(Drunken Driving)
Given are three quite simple but rather thought-provoking drawings. As is revealed in the first one, two men were raising glasses of wine and toasting each other. In the second one, two cars ran into each other and we can imagine the drivers must be the two drinkers. In the last picture, the same two men were lying in the hospital, both with bandage on their legs.
Evidently, the pictures target at revealing an increasingly prevalent illegal practice: drunken driving. No one can have failed to notice the fact that a mounting number of people died or got injured in accidents resulting from drunk driving. In Hangzhou, China, for example, two innocent young people lost their lives in two accidents that happened within a very short period of time. Actually, the phenomenon has been so widespread that it has drawn nationwide concern.
To our relief, we can see pertinent laws and regulations have been worked out and enforced to punish those who drive after drinking. However, I believe that more can be done to prevent things from getting worse. For one thing, severer laws can be made and put into effect. For another, the sale of alcohol should be limited in restaurants.

Drunken Driving
Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that drunken driving has been a grave problem with which we are confronted. Generally speaking, there are several reasons accounting for /behind this phenomenon. Firstly, recent decades have witnessed the rapid development of people’s living standards. As a result, cars gained ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into our everyday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities or banquets than ever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they may get drunk but continue to drive.
Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequence if we keep turning a blind eye to it. Firs and foremost, this behavior will directly threaten the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians/goers, resulting in traffic accidents, injuries and even deaths. Besides, treating the injured and repairing broken cars mean a grievous waste of money, time and resources. Last but not least, this irresponsible driving will make the road a nightmare, and thus, it will causes serious losses of faith in governments and the society.
In view of the seriousness of this problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. First, it is essential that the supervisory role of laws and regulations should be strengthened to punish those performing drunken driving. Secondly, the public, especially drivers, should enhance their awareness of public safety. With stringent laws and alert public, it will only a matter of time for drunken driving to become things of past.
酒后駕車考研作文4(雅思考試水準(zhǔn)):
The only way to reduce the rising number of road accidents is for a total ban on drinking while driving. Do you agree or disagree? Make other recommendations.
The discussion about whether or not the government should have a total ban on drinking while driving is a very controversal one. There are people on both sides of the argument who have different opinions.
Since speeding is the leading cause of accidents, and alcohol makes people less careful and more likely to speed, it makes sense to totally ban drinking while driving. In fact, lots of road accidents are caused by drinking alcohol, and alcohol did great damage to people’s health, especially people’s cerebellum. After drinking alcohol, the person cannot even walk normally, how can he drive a car in such a bad condition? Besides, in countries where it is illegal to drink and drive, the road death toll is far less than in countries which allow alcohol in the bloodstream while driving. Finally, the only persons against a total ban are the manufactures of alcoholic drinks and pub owners, and these two groups are political influential and wealthy. But in other words, other people disagree with them.
Many people, however, argue that it is wrong to make a total ban on drinking while driving. Tests proved that most car accidents occur as a result of speeding. Drivers still speed even when they have not been drinking alcohol. Targeting alcohol does not stop people speeding. For example, nowadays some young people want to have something exciting to do and just speeding with their cars on the road, it can also cause danger to others and even more dangerous than drinking while driving. Moreover, why only ban alnohol? There are many other drugs which impair one’s ability to drive. The complete ban of only one substance makes on sense.
In my opinion, it is necessary to ban on drinking while driving, and this will do good to not only other people but also the drinker himself. If we can keep on doing this, the road accidents will be decrease soon in the future.
