　　I have been a devoted reader of your magazine Around the World ever since a friend recommended it to me three years ago.

　　I enjoy reading particularly articles in your “Foreign Culture” series， which are both informative and entertaining. However， there is an error that I feel should not be ignored. In the article titled This Is Australia of the May 14th edition， the estimated economic cost caused by youth's crimes is quoted as“$ 4 million” when it actually should be $ 4 billion. It might be only a typographic mistake， but it could nonetheless the misleading， especially to the serious readers who have a particular interest in such a subject.

　　當然了，除了背模板。寫作還有很多需要特別注意的。審題是寫作的第一步，也是也是抓住寫作要害的第一步。審題對了也就成功了一半，審題錯了，那就全盤皆輸。

　　考研作文切忌信手拈來，提筆就寫，根本不審題，想到哪兒就寫到哪兒，或完全憑自己想象編故事，置考試要求于不顧，典型的“下筆千言，離題萬里”。所以，童鞋們在審題時候，要仔細閱讀試題要求及相關信息，如圖表、圖畫、數字等，準確把握出題者意圖。有相當一部分同學答題的思路就是錯誤的，沒有審題習慣，或擔心時間不夠草草審題，最后發(fā)現(xiàn)文不對題，草草收場，這必然會影響寫作的質量，同時也影響了英語成績。

　　第一點、嘗試著對名詞的同義替換，比如picture，通篇都用picture，有些老套，不如換成cartoon，drawing等等詞匯，在不同的位 置用不同的詞，但是意思沒有變。還比如，人們，people，persons，folk等等。

　　第二點、嘗試著會用as the old saying goes，“一句諺語”等套用短語或者連詞之類的。大家應該嘗試著學會幾種。比如，one， another;some， others等等表達觀點。當然針對以一個句型，還可以背一些諺語，或者臨場發(fā)揮也行，你自己說一句，放在那里，也不是不可以，總之要靈活一些，要積攢 一些句型。

　　第三點、語法的或用。要嘗試著使用，強調，雙重否定，感嘆，疑問，插入語，從句，倒裝，排比等多種語法現(xiàn)象。以強調為例，do not +vt/vi，本身就是一種否定的強調，對于do not +v= fail to +v，感嘆句也可以用，建議這個形容詞，一定要用別人想不到的，并且比較通俗的說法，比如印象深刻的，盡量不要用大家都能夠使用的詞匯， 要有點難度。插入語，比如表達想法。The 主語，I think，謂語等等，將I think或者i believe等插入主謂之間或者放置在句子末尾等等都可以使用。
