完全停不下了，本來(lái)今天想好好放松一下，但是習(xí)慣使然，看到本周經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人的這篇文章很激動(dòng)，繼續(xù)放大招。一寫就是七句，考研的熱點(diǎn)話題：全球變暖!而且在經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人的文章中不多的提到了中國(guó)的科學(xué)家。點(diǎn)贊!

　　1. Over the past few years one of the biggest questions in climate science has been why, since the turn of the century, average surface-air temperatures on Earth have not risen, even though the concentration in the atmosphere of heat-trapping carbon dioxide has continued to go up。

　　參考譯文：在過(guò)去的幾年中，氣候科學(xué)中最大的問(wèn)題就在于，為什么，自從本世紀(jì)以來(lái)，即使大氣中吸熱的二氧化碳?xì)怏w聚集的越來(lái)越多，地球表面平均的氣溫也沒(méi)有上升。

　　2.This“pause” in global warming has been seized on by those skeptical that humanity needs to act on to curb greenhouse-gas emissions or even (in the case of some extreme sceptics) who think that man-made global warming itself is a fantasy。

　　詞匯突破：seized on 抓住(并利用);

　　those skeptical that 句子：這種用法在傳統(tǒng)的語(yǔ)法中并不多見(jiàn)，但是在經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)人這樣的雜志中還是挺多的。

　　其實(shí)就等于those who doubt that 句子 ,大家記住就好。

　　參考譯文：全球變暖的暫停被這些人抓住并加以利用。他們本來(lái)就不認(rèn)為人類需要采取行動(dòng)來(lái)控制溫室氣體的排放。甚至其中一些極端的質(zhì)疑者認(rèn)為人為的全球變暖本身就是一種幻想而已。

　　3. People with a grasp of the law of conservation of energy are, however, skeptical in their turn of these positions and doubt that the pause is such good news. They would rather understand where the missing heat has gone, and why- and thus whether the pause can be expected to continue。

　　4.The most likely explanation is that it is hiding in the oceans, which store nine times as much of the sun’s heat as do the atmosphere and land combined。

　　5. But until this week, descriptions of how the sea might do this have largely come from computer models。
