[點(diǎn)評(píng)]2014年考研英語(yǔ)真題答案視頻解析
One of the principals universally preached by all the religions and cultures of the world is the respect for the elderly. As is vividly described in the above two pictures, in one of which, there was a little girl, with her mother hand in hand on the way to school 30 years ago; in the other picture, the little girl’s mother has become aged, with her grown-up daughter supporting her on the street.
Undoubtedly, the drawer of the touching pictures aims at reminding us of the significance of filial moral. First and foremost, we have inherited this world from our parents and grandparents. If not for the hard work of past generations, including the aged among us, the modern society that we enjoy today would not be possible. More importantly, the elderly have worked hard to provide for their families, for society and for young generations. Some of them have fought in wars for the freedom that we now celebrate, while others have led struggles to create better living and working conditions for posterity. Hence, as the recipients of the fruit of their labors, we owe them our respect and veneration.
By and large, it is vital for us to derive positive implications from the above pictures. For one thing, we should frequently use it to enlighten the young. For another, we should cultivate the awareness of people that being filial to the aged, especially to our parents. In conclusion, it is the aged among us that have enabled us to enjoy the lives we live today, so I believe that we owe them our gratitude, love and respect.
