一、名詞形狀

　　形單義復

　　1.family 類名詞作主語

　　強調(diào)整體時，謂語動詞用單數(shù);

　　強調(diào)個體時，謂語動詞用復數(shù)。

　　如：My family is a happy family.

　　My family are so busy getting ready for Spring Festival.

　　類似的詞還有：class，group，band，crew, committee，audience，public，club，staff, cabinet(內(nèi)閣)，team 等等

　　2.police 類名詞作主語 總是用復數(shù)、

　　如：The police are looking for the lost child.

　　Cattle feed on grass.
