Training and competing standard systems have been set up. Complementing its fighting function, Kung fu has become a more athletic, aesthetic and competitive sport. Perhaps better than any other practitioner, Bruce Lee opened the eyes of the Western world to the fascinating practices of Chinese martial arts. Consequently, more and more foreigners are travelling to China for learning the mysteries of Kung fu.

　　3.“面子”是中國人際交往和商業(yè)往來中的典型現(xiàn)象�！懊孀印痹跐h語中沒有專門的定義，和“名聲”的概念相近。如果你不太熟悉中國文化，你應(yīng)該了解一下“面 子”或“有面子”。如果你不給別人“留面子”，他們會認(rèn)為你不尊重他們。中國人生 活的方方面面都有“面子”的影子。中國人不喜歡說“不”，因?yàn)樗麄兿虢o雙方“留面子”，因此他們會說“現(xiàn)在不太方便”、“太難了”或“可能吧”，但是不會對別人只說-個“不”字。

　　4.中國人對龍的理解與西方人不一樣。龍是帝王的象征。帝王的子孫被稱為“龍 種”，帝王的用品也常常被加上“龍”字，如“龍袍”、“龍椅”等，連帝王的面色也被 稱為“龍顏”。龍也是杰出人物的象征，漢語中有“臥虎藏龍”、“乘龍快婿”等。同時，龍也是一種祥瑞(auspicious)之物。因此，人們希望它能留在自己的家里，保佑自己家里一切平安，萬事如意。每到舞龍燈(dragondance)的時節(jié)，人們會請人 到家里來舞一回。又因龍呈威猛之相，故也有龍舟(dragonboat)驅(qū)鬼辟邪的說法翻譯：Chinese people's understanding of dragon is different from that of Westerners.Dragon is the symbol of emperors. The descendants of emperors are called “children of the dragon”.
