My name is Li Ming. I am studying at college. A week ago I saw a traffic accident, which is still vivid in my mind.
It was at about 9:00 on Saturday morning, June 15th, when I went out of the university to visit a friend of mine at another university. I was walking leisurely on the sidewalk when I heard a loud crash of two vehicles just at the T-junction about 10 meters away. Two taxis crashed together. It was a traffic accident. I went up and found that the two taxis were badly damaged. Both hoofs were out of shape. One door of a car was knocked off and lying on the road. One driver was blooding and another was shut in the taxi. Some people were trying to help the driver get out of the damaged car. One man was calling to the traffic policeman station. A lot of cars were jammed on the road.
From the stopping track on the road, it is clear that the two taxis were driving too fast. But it is just one of the reasons. In my opinion, the taxi drivers are eager to take more passengers and make a little more money. On the other hand, both drivers don't show concern for one another. Both of them wanted to run in front of another. Therefore, the accident is inevitable. So far, we should let the drivers keep it in their mind that a little slower, a little safer. Taking care of other's lives means taking care of your own life.

Should the University Campus Be Open to tourism?
Nowadays, many famous university campuses have become one of the popular tourist attractions. It has been shown on TV and on the radio that every year thousands and thousands of middle school students visit Tsinghua University and Peking University and other famous universities in China. In the place far away from the capital city, the local students also visit the universities famous in their own provinces.
So far as the present situation is concerned, is it a good or bad thing to open the university campus to tourists? Different people hold different opinions. On the one hand, some people argue that it is a good thing for the students to visit the famous university campus in that it can enable the middle students to get more information about the university and they can have enough time and opportunity to prepare themselves with the chance to get into the university. On the other hand, some people hold a negative view about this phenomenon. In their opinion, the public tourism will have a negative effect on the universities because it will not only do harm to the environment but also to the intellectual atmosphere.
As I see it, the tourism to the universities is not a good thing. The campus is mainly a place for study. With the increasing tourism on the campus, it will ruin the spiritual atmosphere in this learning field.
Nowadays, some famous universities have become a hot tourist attraction. Many middle school students and ordinary tourists swarm into university campuses such as Inner Mongolia University and Peking University. They can enjoy the intellectual atmosphere there and also be a part of it.
When it comes to whether the university campus should be open to tourists, different people hold different views. Some argue that since most universities belong to the country, every citizen has a right to visit them. What’s more, middle school students can have a good impression of the universities, which will set a definite goal for themselves. However, other people maintain that the visitors will distract the attention of teachers and students in universities; therefore, their visit should be banned.
As I see it, the visit brings people both benefits and harms. We should open most parts of universities to visitors; meanwhile, some private or important parts should not be opened. Only in this way can we satisfy both tourists and universities.
